MONITORING AND EVALUATION PORTAL OF THE CENTER FOR ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC REFORMS AND COMMUNICATION

"Human capital and education" Working group meeting was held

The discussion of the general report on the "Human Capital and Education" goal within the framework of the goals set for 2023 of the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" took place in the "Human Capital and Education" working group during the first half of the current year.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Science and Education, Idris Isayev, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education and Chairman of the working group, provided information about "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-economic Development" and the Strategy. He emphasized the necessity of timely and effective execution of works related to the plans of approved measures in the direction of "Education in accordance with the requirements of the 21st century" within the framework of the goal of "Human Capital and Education." Isayev noted that the launch of a dedicated portal for monitoring and evaluating the Strategy's implementation, allowing online monitoring, is an innovative initiative.

Subsequently, Gunay Guliyeva, Deputy Chairman of the working group and Head of the Economic Analysis Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms  and Communication (CAERC), presented the progress report.

During the meeting, attended by Shabnam Mammadli, Chief Advisor of the Monitoring and Evaluation division of CAERC, and Natig Panahli, Chief Advisor of the Public Relations division, discussions were held on expanding the scope of preschool education, enhancing the professional skills of pedagogical and management staff, quality control measures, and other relevant issues. Opinions were exchanged, and discussions took place regarding the report.

In addition to the Ministry of Science and Education and CAERC, the "Human Capital and Education" working group includes representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Economy, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Health, as well as the Intellectual Property Agency, the State Examination Center, the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance (TABIB), the State Oil Fund, the Science Fund, the Youth Fund, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences , and relevant departments of the Investment Holding.

It is noteworthy that by the Prime Minister's Order dated June 12, 2023, eight working groups were created to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of measures outlined in the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies.
