As part of the 2024 objectives of the "2022-2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan," the progress made in the first half of the year towards achieving the goal of "Citizens' Healthy Lifestyle" was discussed by the "Healthy Lifestyle" Working Group.

Nadir Zeynalov, the Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Health emphasized the significance of the measures implemented within the framework of the Strategy and highly praised the efforts of the relevant bodies in this area.

Sabina Jumazade, Deputy Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at CAERC, presented the report on the implementation of the document for the first half of 2024. She highlighted the results of the monitoring and evaluation carried out across the seven activity areas related to the "Citizens' Healthy Lifestyle" goal, as well as the challenges identified and recommendations made.

Members of the Working Group also delivered speeches, offering suggestions and comments.

It is worth noting that the Decree of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated June 12, 2023, was issued to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures outlined in the "2022-2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies. Eight working groups were established for this purpose. In addition to the Ministry of Health and IITKM, the "Healthy Lifestyle" Working Group includes representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Youth and Sports, Science and Education, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children’s Issues, the Food Safety Agency, and the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.
