MONITORING AND EVALUATION PORTAL OF THE CENTER FOR ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC REFORMS AND COMMUNICATION

The “Healthy Lifestyle” working group has started its activities at the Ministry of Health

A meeting was held for the “Healthy Lifestyle” Sub-Working Group, established in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 30, 2025, regarding the preparation of the “Azerbaijan Republic’s 2027–2030 Socio-Economic Development Strategy” and the “Second State Program on the Great Return to the Territories Liberated from Occupation.” This meeting was organized based on the Cabinet of Ministers’ Decree of June 18, 2025, which follows the third National Priority “Competitive Human Capital and Modern Innovation Space” of the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development.”

The meeting was attended by high-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, State Committee for Family, Women, and Children’s Issues, State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance, TƏBİB, and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. Abdulrahim Dadasov, an employee of the Monitoring and Evaluation division of the CAERC, was also present.

Opening the meeting, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev emphasized the importance of consolidating efforts for promoting a healthy lifestyle into a unified strategic framework. He noted that the implementation of the “Azerbaijan 2022–2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy,” as well as the successful execution of the “First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories,” laid a significant foundation for the country’s social, economic, and institutional development.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Health Nadir Zeynalov gave a presentation on the progress made so far in the implementation of the “Azerbaijan 2022-2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy.”

The members of the working group shared their suggestions regarding the new strategy for 2027–2030, including the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, strengthening the healthcare system, and implementing innovative approaches.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Teymur Musayev stated that, in line with the Presidential Decree of May 30, 2025, sector-specific sub-working groups created for the effective implementation of the “Azerbaijan 2027-2030 Socio-Economic Development Strategy” and the “Second State Program on the Great Return” should continue their activities intensively, meeting at least once a month. He emphasized that the future strategy should take into account the realities of the modern era and global trends to ensure that its measures will lead to more effective results.
