The "Inclusive Social Development and Social Security" working group held its next meeting

A regular meeting of the “Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection” Working Group, established to oversee the implementation of the targets set out in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026,” was held.

The meeting, organized in videoconference format, discussed the monitoring and evaluation report on the work carried out during the first half of 2025 under the objectives “Ensuring that every citizen benefits from development” and “High and fair social protection.”

The Chair of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Vusal Nasirli, highlighted the significant progress achieved in the social sphere as a result of consistent and large-scale reforms implemented in recent years. The Deputy Minister emphasized that with the launch of the fifth social reform package at the beginning of 2025, increases in salaries, pensions, benefits, and stipends have continued.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Ramil Huseyn underlined the importance of the work carried out, noting that the measures implemented under the current Strategy will also play an important role in shaping the next Strategy covering the years 2027–2030.

Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department of CAERC and Deputy Chair of the Working Group, Elnur Alakbarov, presented the monitoring and evaluation results for both objectives. He provided detailed information on the report, highlighting the main challenges and recommendations. The meeting continued with discussions of the report.

 

Along with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the “Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection” Working Group also includes representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Economy, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Science and Education, and Health, as well as from the Central Bank, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the State Migration Service, and the Youth Foundation.
