Within the framework of the goals of the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026”, a meeting of the “Environmental Issues” Working Group was held to discuss the monitoring and evaluation results for the first half of the current year.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov noted that the measures planned under the goal of creating a “High-Quality Environmental Environment” are being successfully implemented by the responsible institutions.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Ayaz Museyibov delivered a speech about the work done and the upcoming tasks within the framework of the Strategy.

After that, Abdulrahim Dadashov, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation division of CAERC, presented a report on the monitoring and evaluation results regarding the implementation of the “High-Quality Environmental Environment” goal.

Following the presentation, the members of the Working Group held discussions, expressed opinions and suggestions, and provided recommendations to increase the efficiency of the implementation process. The next steps were also identified.

The “Environmental Issues” Working Group includes representatives from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Science and Education, Agriculture, Emergency Situations, Digital Development and Transport, and Energy, as well as from the State Statistics Committee, the State Tourism Agency, the State Water Resources Agency, the Food Safety Agency, the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service), TƏBİB, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA), the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC, and “Clean City” JSC.
