Within the framework of the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026”, a meeting of the “Economic Growth” Working Group, established to achieve the goal of building a sustainable and competitive economy, was held.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Economy, Samed Bashirli, emphasized the importance of implementing the measures outlined in the country’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy for ensuring sustainable and competitive economic growth. The Deputy Minister also provided information about the implementation status of the measures under the working group’s activity areas and the work carried out by the Ministry of Economy as the main implementing body.

Ayaz Museyibov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), and Nijat Hajizade, Head of division, presented information on the measures implemented within the Strategy and on the results of monitoring and evaluation for the first half of 2025.

During the meeting, discussions were held with members of the Working Group and representatives of relevant state institutions on increasing the outcome indicators, and the next steps were identified.

It should be noted that, in order to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures outlined in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026” and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies, eight working groups have been established.
