On September 25, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ali Asadov and with the participation of members of the Government, a broad meeting dedicated to the topics “The draft state and consolidated budgets of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the next three years” and “The concept and forecast indicators of economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years” was held at the Cabinet of Ministers.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget System”, the “Draft state and consolidated budgets for 2026, the indicators of the consolidated budget for the next three years, and the forecasts of socio-economic development for 2026 and the next three years” were submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers by the relevant institutions.

These projects were discussed during the meeting.

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, provided detailed information about the main indicators of the draft state budget for the coming year.

At the meeting, Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev presented a report on “The draft state and consolidated budgets of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the next three years”, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov delivered a report on “The concept and forecast indicators of economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years”, and Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev presented information on “The draft budgets of the State Social Protection Fund and the Unemployment Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population for 2026.”

Afterwards, the Prime Minister drew attention to the main tasks and priorities ahead.

The Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Vusal Gasimli, also participated in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, a decision was made to submit “The draft state and consolidated budgets of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the indicators of the consolidated budget for the next three years” and “The concept and forecast indicators of economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026 and the next three years” to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the documents specified in Article 12 of the Law “On the Budget System.”
