A meeting of the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection, established to prepare the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030,” has been held.

The head of the working group, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev, stated that one of the “National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development – Azerbaijan 2030,” approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, is the priority of “A dynamic, inclusive, and socially just society,” which reflects the main purpose of the ongoing consistent social reforms.

He highlighted the progress achieved in strengthening the social protection system, as well as the significant increases in wages, pensions, and other social payments. It was noted that continuing reforms in this direction will remain among the main goals of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2027–2030.

During the meeting, the draft Action Plan for the new Strategy was presented.

Ayaz Museyibov, Deputy executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and Elnur Alakbarov, Deputy Head of the Economic analysis division, participated in discussions on the project.
