MONITORING AND EVALUATION PORTAL OF THE CENTER FOR ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC REFORMS AND COMMUNICATION

A meeting of the "Innovation" working group was held

Discussion of the general report on the goal of "Creative and innovative society" took place during the monitoring and evaluation session for the first half of the current year, within the framework of the 2023 goals set by the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" in the "Innovation" Working Group.

Farid Ahmadov, Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, provided insights into the strategy and detailed the ministry's efforts towards achieving the goal of a "Creative and innovative society" during the video-format meeting.

Rashad Huseynov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, shared information about the process and methodology of monitoring and evaluating the Strategy's implementation, along with the regulations governing the working groups. He emphasized that the aim of monitoring and evaluating the measures under the Strategy is to conduct result-oriented work and ensure effective implementation.

Agil Asadov, Head of the Strategic Planning Department of CAERC and Deputy Chairman of the Working Group, presented progress reports for the first half of 2023 on the monitoring and evaluation of the measures outlined in the Strategy.

Following the presentation, the report was discussed at the meeting, proposals were made, and the next steps were determined.

Apart from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and IITKM, the "Innovation" Working Group comprises representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Science and Education, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Justice, Defense Industry, Agriculture, Culture, and Energy. Additionally, it includes the Central Bank, State Customs Committee, State Committee for Work with Diaspora, State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovation under the President, State Water Resources Agency, "Melioration and Water Management" OJSC, State Migration Service, State Border Service, Intellectual Property Agency, and relevant departments of ANAS. Heads of departments are also represented.

It's noteworthy that eight working groups have been established to ensure the comprehensive, timely, and effective implementation of the measures outlined in the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies.
