MONITORING AND EVALUATION PORTAL OF THE CENTER FOR ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC REFORMS AND COMMUNICATION

A meeting of the "Economic Growth" working group was held

The "Economic Growth" working group discussed the general report on the objectives of "Sustainable and high economic growth" and "Balanced development of the capital and regions" during the monitoring and evaluation of the first half of the current year within the framework of the 2023 goals outlined in the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026."

Chairing the meeting, Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Working Group, highlighted the pivotal role of implementing measures from the country's socio-economic development strategy in achieving sustainable and competitive economic development. He drew attention to the state of implementation of measures within the working group's activities and the progress made during the first six months of 2023 on measures for which the Ministry of Economy is the main executor. It was noted that a monitoring and evaluation portal was established to ensure the effectiveness of work on the Strategy.

Rashad Huseynov, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, presented progress reports for the first half of 2023 on monitoring and evaluating the implementation of measures outlined in the Strategy.

The meeting included discussions with working group members and representatives of relevant state institutions to further enhance efficiency, and the next steps were determined.

In addition to the Ministry of Economy and CAERC, the "Economic Growth" Working Group comprises the Ministries of Finance, Science and Education, Agriculture, Emergencies, Digital Development and Transport, Energy, as well as the State Statistics Committee, the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President, the State Tourism Agency, State Water Resources Agency, "Amelioration and Water Management" OJSC, Food Safety Agency, State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, TABIB, ANAS, "Clean City" OJSC, State Oil Company, and "Azerbaijan Airlines" JSC. Heads of departments and divisions are also represented.

It's worth noting that 8 working groups have been established to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of measures outlined in the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of relevant state bodies.
