The general report on the monitoring and evaluation of the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" for the first half of the current year was discussed in the "Inclusive Social Development and Social Security" working group. Discussions on the goals of "Each citizen benefiting from development" and "High and fair social security, inclusive society" were held online.
The chairman of the working group, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Aliyev, highlighted the measures outlined in the "Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026." He drew attention to the work carried out under the National Priority "Dynamic, inclusive and social justice-based society." He provided information about the state of implementation of measures related to the activities of the working group, as well as the social reforms implemented in recent years, increases in social payments, and steps taken to strengthen the social protection of vulnerable groups.
Rovshan Rahimov, Deputy Chairman of the Working Group and Head of the Efficiency Assessment Sector of the Monitoring and evaluation division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, noted that the opinions expressed in the discussions would be taken into account in the reports and emphasized the importance of an active exchange of views.
Elnur Alakbarov, Deputy head of the Economic analysis division of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication presented the prepared progress report. Subsequently, members of the working group discussed the report, voiced their suggestions and comments.
In addition to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and IITKM, the "Inclusive Social Development and Social Security" Working Group includes the Ministries of Finance, Economy, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Justice, Science and Education, Health, as well as the Central Bank, Family, Women's and Children's Issues. Heads of the relevant departments of the State Committee for Citizen Service and Social Innovation under the President, the State Migration Service, and the Youth Fund are also represented.
It should be noted that with the Order signed by the Prime Minister on June 12, 2023, to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures provided for in the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies, eight working groups have been established.
