The first meeting of the “Green Energy Space” Sub-Working Group, established within the framework of the work carried out for the preparation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030, was held. Orkhan Sadiqov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, attended the meeting.

Perviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy and head of the Sub-Working Group, spoke about the energy sector reforms being implemented in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and about the priority directions of the green energy agenda. The importance of taking into account both the experience gained during the implementation of the 2022–2026 economic development strategy and global trends in the preparation of the portion of the new strategy assigned to the Sub-Working Group was emphasized.

At the meeting, the work carried out and results achieved in the field of green energy under the ongoing strategy were presented. The directions of activities, initial measures, and coordination mechanisms for the new period covering 2027–2030 were discussed.

It should be noted that the “Green Energy Space” Sub-Working Group was established in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 18, 2025, and in line with the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development.”
