The Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Security held its next meeting

In accordance with the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection, established by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Decree for the preparation of the “Social and Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030,” held its next meeting.

Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and head of the Working Group, noted that significant steps have been taken in ensuring the welfare of citizens in our country. The work carried out and achievements made under the “Dynamic, Inclusive, and Socially Just Society” National Priority—one of the “National Priorities for Social and Economic Development of Azerbaijan 2030” approved by the Decree of the Head of State—were highlighted.

It was noted that five social reform packages were implemented between 2018 and 2025, resulting in substantial increases in wages, pensions, and other social payments. Achievements in strengthening social protection, developing an inclusive society, improving rehabilitation and social services systems, and expanding active employment programs were emphasized. It was also reported that digital solutions have been widely applied in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection.

It was stressed that, in accordance with the “Dynamic, Inclusive, and Socially Just Society” National Priority, the social achievements obtained and measures aimed at developing an inclusive society will continue to be one of the main directions in the new social and economic development strategy.

 

During the meeting, the work carried out by the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection for the preparation of the Strategy draft, the tasks ahead, and the proposals submitted were discussed.
