The second meeting of the Sub-Working Group on Healthy Lifestyles, established for the preparation of the draft “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030,” was held.

At the meeting, the head of the Sub-Working Group, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, delivered an opening statement, noting that the successfully implemented “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026,” approved by the relevant decree of the head of state, has laid an important foundation for the country’s socio-economic development. The Minister emphasized that to ensure the continuity of this development, it is essential that the measures to promote a healthy lifestyle in the country be integrated into a unified strategic framework for the coming years, taking into account the results and experiences gained from the Strategy’s implementation to date.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Ayaz Museibov and Monitoring and Evaluation Department staff member Sevinc Jabbarova participated in the meeting.

“In this regard, to implement the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 30, 2025, the Sub-Working Group on Healthy Lifestyles, established to ensure the effective implementation of the relevant measures of the ‘Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030,’ continues its work intensively,” the Minister added.

The head of the Sub-Working Group also noted that the Strategy being prepared for the coming years will take into account contemporary realities and global trends, and will include measures that are expected to yield more effective results in the future.

During the event, the draft document prepared based on the proposals of the Sub-Working Group members was presented for the first time. Discussions were held on these proposals, clarifying certain points and determining the directions of activities and the relevant measures.
