The next meeting of the Working Group on Economic Growth, established to achieve the targets for a sustainable and competitive economy envisaged in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026”, was held. The meeting discussed the implementation status of the measures envisaged under the Strategy, the work carried out, and the tasks ahead.

Speaking at the meeting, Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Economy and Chair of the Working Group, emphasized the importance of the measures implemented under the Strategy in ensuring sustainable and competitive economic development in the country. Information was provided on the implementation status of measures within the areas of activity of the Working Group, as well as on the work carried out under measures for which the Ministry of Economy is the main implementing institution.

Tarana Salifova, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), emphasized the importance of achieving the targets set for 2026, accelerating the implementation of ongoing measures, and ensuring the indicators envisaged for the relevant outcome indicators as the implementation of the Strategy approaches its final stage.

Orkhan Sadigov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division at CAERC, provided information on the work carried out during the first six months of 2026 within the framework of monitoring and evaluation of the Strategy, as well as the areas of activity ahead.

An exchange of views was subsequently held on the work to be carried out regarding the implementation of the measures envisaged in the Strategy, and the next steps were identified.

It should be noted that eight working groups have been established to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures envisaged in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026”, as well as to coordinate the activities of relevant state institutions.
